I'm really impressed with the Martha Stewart Cookies book. We made the soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies last night (we had an emergency cookie party for a friend) and they were awesome! Her test kitchen must run a really tight ship!

This recipe is really, really good. I've made it with chocolate chips instead of raisins, which (as you can imagine) is also really, really good!

I love a good old fashioned oatmeal cookie. I like your using a pinch of cloves, something I have not tried (but soon will).

Lucky duck that work was cancelled today! And I believe the oatmeal cookie is the best cookie ever! Our snow arrives tonight through Wednesday morning - another 8 inches - I am so sick of snow this time of year.

Have fun baking!

I made the same cookies this weekend. A snowy Baltimore is beautiful, though, isn't it?
