Ha! This cake is so gorgeous! Love the basket weave also, but can’t do it… all my cakes seem to be ‘frost in between layers and slather on top’ cakes! If I decorate, I stick real edible flowers on top or some cutesy crafty something (tacky, I know)… I do hope you go for that second course after a breathe, Beth! you have the gift!

Am going to send a fellow blogger this link, as she’d never seen a cake with mayo in the recipe and I’d posted my mother’s simple chocolate cake a few days back (also with mayo)… a nice coincidence to share with her!

That looks so good Beth – good job!! Hey – I made tikka chicken masala for my lunch today – it turned out fantastic! In fact, one of my co-workers asks me on a regular basis “what’s on the menu today?” I made a whole batch and brought her some to try. I then went to heat up my lunch and when I saw her again she said “seriously that is the best thing I’ve tasted in years!”

It has just the right amount of heat – so flavorful! I plan on posting it tomorrow, but I am glad you suggested I make Indian food from scratch! :D

Christine, there are only two of us, so it’s really my coworkers that enjoy the benefits :-) The basket weave was so simple, it’s really just piping in lines and holding the bag the right way! You should try it out if you’re interested.
